Shelby Montana boast a population
of about 3200, according to the 2000
census.
Shelby is the county seat of Toole
county, which was named after
Montana's first Governor.
Shelby stands between I-15 and
Highway 2, about 32 miles south of
the Canadian boarder. To the west is
Glacier National Park about 80 miles.
Shelby is known for the 1923 World
Heavy Weight Fight between Jack
Dempsey and Tommy Gibbons.
A small town along the Hi Line of
Montana, Shelby has a lot to offer;
Marias Valley Golf course south of
town has 18 holes. Marias Museum,
city parks, pool, downtown shopping,
theater, lodging and restaurants.
Most of all the Shelby offers great
Montana hospitality and kindness.
