Shelby Montana boast a population of about 3200, according to the 2000 census.
It is the county seat of Toole county, which was named after Montana's first
Governor.  It stands between I-15 and Highway 2, about 32 miles south of the
Canadian boarder.  To the west is Glacier National Park about 80 miles.

Shelby is known for the 1923 World Heavy Weight Fight between Jack Dempsey
and Tommy Gibbons.

A small town along the Hi Line of Montana, Shelby has a lot to offer; Marias Valley
Golf course south of town has 18 holes.  Marias Museum, city parks, pool,
downtown shopping, theater, lodging and restaurants.

Just 80 miles west of Shelby on Highway 2 is Glacier National Park.  With over 1
million acres, Glacier is one of the Largest and most complete ecosystems in the
United States.  With beautiful scenery and abundant wildlife Glacier Park is a
destination of a life time.
Alberta Canada
Just 30 minutes north of Shelby is the Sweet Grass border crossing into Alberta.  
One of the busiest Ports of Entry, it marks the beginning of the Trans Canada
Highway.
